In this article, the gas chamber temperature is determined with Zyklon B mass gassings based judicially known witnesses and forensic investigations of Zyklon B in conjunction with other, well-known material data according to size by scientific methods approximate. 

In the context of mass destruction by means of gas chambers as part of the Holocaust, the gas chamber temperature has not yet been sufficiently explored in Zyklon B mass gassings in the past, neither of revisionist side nor from the anti-revisionist side. The gas chambers in which using the agent Zyklon B insecticide million Jews were gassed, symbolize the Holocaust than any other feature. Physical methodology

Generally, the release rate of the hydrogen cyanide from the insecticide Zyklon B is dependent on the ambient temperature. To determine the gas chamber temperatures each testified lying only in the range of minutes killing time is used.   4. The approximate coverage density of the gas chamber (4-30 persons per square meter)
  5. The time at which the door was opened again (<10 to 30 minutes)
  6. The killing times (presently up to 20 minutes by a majority well attested focal point in 2-3 minutes)

Of these 6 points going into the study of the gas chamber temperature only the physical properties of Zyklon B and the design dimensions of the part “Partie Mobile” and the killing of time (points 1, 2, 6).

The other points are of interest only to the definition of the constraints. This includes in particular the door opening times as a control parameter.

Derived constraints

  1. Dead can not be killed. This seems to be superficially banal, but is important in this context. This means namely that the release of toxic gas must have been completed no later than the time of death. The release of toxic gas may have been indeed completed before the time of death. But any release of toxic gas after the death would have been not only futile but would also have the Verfahern delayed unnecessarily. From the first condition gives the essential requirement that the gas chamber temperature must have been so high that the time of sacrifice, all cyanide must have been vaporized at the latest. More precisely: the container surface temperature must have been so high that the existing in the container hydrocyanic acid to evaporate within the time of sacrifice. In a container, liquid can be converted to gas only by evaporation, but not significantly by evaporation.

This also means that even in a fictional extra heating of the Zyklon B container (“Partie Mobile”) this film temperature must be reached. So it does not matter whether the container has been heated by the gas temperature chamber or by a separate energy source. In both cases, the surface temperature of the container must be identical. In the case where the canister is done by heating the gas chamber temperature, as has been testified of course, the gas chamber temperature must have been greater than the corresponding surface temperature of the container. How much bigger can only be estimated approximately.

Identifying the necessary container surface temperature / gas chamber temperature

flux and the temperature profile through the Zyklon B granules understandable. As long as the hydrogen cyanide is unvaporized, it may be heated as well as in water at most up to the particular boiling point. Initially there was everything in the picture granules “blue”, so liquid. There was therefore a high heat flux, which was allowed to evaporate very quickly the cyanide. The heat transfer surface area of the square container is then for 1 kg of Zyklon B (1 kg hydrogen cyanide)

Heating of the dry granules

to half the internal temperature difference between the plate temperature and hydrocyanic acid boil temperature . Heating the resulting hydrogen cyanide vapor

on a not precisely known temperature, which will be somewhere between sheet temperature and Hydrocyanic acid boil temperature. This results in the following surface temperatures, these evaporation times, all of which are within the witnessed killing time range:

860 °C: 1200s = 20 minutes

1500 °C: 711s = 12 minutes

3000 °C: 371s = 6.2 minutes

6000 °C: 191S = 3.2 minutes

9000 °C: 129S = 2.1 minutes

20000 °C: 59s = 1 minute

For comparison, some low surface temperatures:

150 °C: 120 minutes, ie two hours evaporation time.

281 °C: 60 minutes, so 1 hours evaporation time.
The calculated evaporation times correspond to at least the kill times.

Because the testimony of Rudolf Hoess warehouse manager with respect to the quantities used Zyklon B (6 kg of Zyklon B, sometimes even 2 or 3 doses more, depending on weather) above killing time representation was also still required. Experimental verification

Apart from the purely mathematical determination of the gas chamber temperatures, there is also the possibility of its simple experimental verification, which can be practiced by anyone in a matter of minutes with a budget and a thermometer. While this verification option is not exact, however, proves the approximate accuracy of the above gas chamber temperatures. Thus, ultimately, the possibility of gasification is even proved experimentally. In the commemorative publication “The mug of beer and the Holocaust” [3] the experiment and its evaluation is presented in an easy to understand.

From the physical methodology resulting conclusions

In this analysis, the Zyklon quantities, the toxicity of cyanide, victim numbers played during gasification, gas chamber size, number of roof openings and feasibility no role, as was expected only with specific values (reference 1 kg Zyklon B). The gas chamber temperatures were, of course, especially at the low temperatures still much higher than the calculated sheet surface temperatures. Virtual reconstruction of the gas chamber with wire mesh columns

Miklos Nyiszli and David Olère: As part of the educational project of a Brazilian history teacher, a film with virtual reconstruction equipped with wire mesh columns gas chambers on the basis of sources Pressac (“Technique and Operation of the Gas Chambers of Auschwitz”) was born. Holocaust-deniers reject that these columns even existed. The convergence of this evidence, including the compelling testimonies giving details before corroborating documentary evidence was unearthed, is ignored.

Kula’s and Tauber’s depositions describing the “wire-mesh insertion devices,” decades before the corroborating documentary evidence was discovered in the archives, cannot be explained away. Houstek/Erber’s description of the same devices, also before that evidence was discovered, is also a powerful corroboration.

Deniers will likely argue that the minor differences in their descriptions mean we should ignore them. But should we really expect to find identical accounts? The prisoners gave their descriptions months after the fact; the perpetrator, 35 years later. That may account for some of the difference. Just as importantly, we do not know if the National-Socialists in charge of the gassing operation tried slightly different types of equipment from time to time.

Indeed, if all three descriptions were exactly alike, we might suspect that the later account was copied from the earlier ones. Because they are not, we know that here are three separate eyewitnesses to these items.

Holocaust-deniers reject the validity of the aerial photographs, claiming that the four dark spots on the roof of each gas chamber were retouchings added by the CIA or some other conspiracy. John Ball, who has no expertise in interpreting aerial photographs, suggests either that hypothesis or, alternatively, that the dark spots were flowerpots sitting on each gas chamber.

The objects shown on the roof in the ground photo, say some deniers, are ordinary boxes of construction material.

Deniers also claim that there is no evidence of four holes in the roof of each gas chamber. Because the chambers were dynamited in an attempt to hide evidence of mass murder from the approaching Soviet army, the roofs have collapsed and it is difficult to tell in the rubble what is a hole and what is not. Later this year, an essay on this website will address this question in detail.

Finally, Holocaust-deniers intentionally confuse the solid support columns for the gas chamber roof with the wire-mesh columns. As obvious evidence of their crimes, the latter would have been removed by the National-Socialists from the gas chambers before they were blown up. Ludicrously, deniers show photos of the solid columns as proof that the wire-mesh columns never existed.

Such feeble attempts to rewrite history do not stand. [2]

From the van Pelt reports, citations to the wire mesh columns:

“The pages of this column, who went through the roof, were of heavy wire mesh. Within this network, there was an even finer mesh and in a third, very fine mesh. In this last case there was a removable mesh liner, which was pulled from a wire to get the [Zyklon] pellets from which the gas had evaporated.”

“The ceiling of the gas chamber was supported by concrete pillars, which were arranged in the center of the room lengthwise. Four more, two were on each side on the sides of these pillars. The sides of these columns, which ranged through through the roof, were of heavy wire mesh. In this network, there was another finer mesh and in a third, very fine wire mesh. In this last wire cage there was a removable sleeve to get the pellets from which the gas had evaporated.”

“Tauber’s testimony is undoubtedly the most important document on the destruction process, which was created immediately after the war. It is essentially confirmed by contemporary statements Jankowski and Dragons, and by the later drawn up memories of Filip Müller.”

“It is very unlikely that Filip Müller’s memories of Tauber’s testimony were inspired or influenced.”

“Among other things, shower dummies were in the locksmith produced, which are then installed in the gas chambers as well as lattice pillars through which you einschüttete the content of the Zyklon rifles in the gas chambers. These pillars were about three feet high. Their diameter was perhaps 70 cm. Such pillars consisted of three superimposed clips wire nets. Yisrael Gutman and Michael Berenbaum

Yisrael Gutman and Michael Berenbaum describe the operation and appearance of the wire-mesh columns in the crematoria II and III of the Auschwitz concentration camp in her book Anatomy of the Auschwitz death camp as follows: [5]

“Zyklon B was distributed in the gas chamber by four custom-made in the fitting of the bearing induction columns. They consisted of two wire grids with a movable core and shaped like columns. Cross sections of 3m tall pillars formed a square whose side measure 70cm. At the bottom mounted, they went through openings in the ceiling and ended outside as small chimneys, which were covered with a concrete lid with two handles. The external network (consisting of 3 mm thick wire) made of 45 mm x 45 mm measuring gaps and was involved in cubic metal posts attached (cross section 50 mm x 10 mm). The interstices of the outer network – 150 mm from the inner network and secured similar – were smaller (25 mm x 25 mm). The two networks served as a protection for the movable core, which could be inserted through the cover into the opening. The core consisted of a 150 mm x 150 mm in cross-section measuring Zinnprisma. The underside of the core was flat, and the top a cone. A wire mesh at intervals of one square millimeter was from the base of the core to the base of the cone and attached to a 25 mm distant pole. The entire length of the core was covered with tin. If Zyklon B pellets fell on the cone, it was evenly distributed in the nucleus and was stopped at its lower part. After the gas had evaporated, the entire core was removed from the gas chamber and the used diatomaceous earth granules is spilled.”



The picture shows the wire-mesh columns by Michal Kula, which it has made. These were confirmed by several witnesses. Of particular interest is the Zyklon vessel “Partie Mobile”, which is sized even in the essential dimensions and is therefore exactly both computationally and experimentally accessible an investigation. Further, resulting from physical considerations methodology

Failed holocausts of the Jews are already attested in the Bible by the Jews themselves. So it says that Nebuchadnezzar had been present unsuccessfully to burn three Jews in a sevenfold hotter oven. At Daniel 3,1.4-6.8.12-26 is to read that this attempt ultimately failed. [6]


Here the situation described in the Bible in Daniel 3 is shown. One would thus might refer to the Jews as liars.

Mindful of the difficulties in teaching the Holocaust to the world over, therefore, could be quite understand that the Jews were forced to add facts and rework documents in order to offer a holocaust so “natural” manner. Thus it turned out, however, forcibly, that they became entangled with their additional information and explanations more and this could therefore be detected by the revisionists.

The entire length of the core was covered with tin. When Zyklon B pellets fell onto the cone, they spread uniformly throughout the core and stopped at its lower part.
